Painter Gregory Amenoff's work gained national prominence when he was selected
for the Biennial Exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art in 1981. Since then
he has exhibited extensively throughout the United States and Europe.

Westfall wrote: "Amenoff marries the landscape-rooted transcendentalism of early
American modernism and German expressionism ... distinguishing himself by the sheer
