William Wegman is perhaps best known for his photographs of his
Weimaraner dogs, although he has worked extensively in other media.
Wegman uses humor and everyday life for poignant commentary.
Instead
of treating subjective questions of space, form, and color, Wegman
turns to subjects more immediate to him: simple domestic scenes,
household objects, grammar school, cats and dogs, men and women.
His work is in numerous public collections including The Museum of
Modern Art and the Whitney Museum.
